Background & Experience

Janet is an expert writer and editor with more than 30 years of experience in researching and synthesizing complex business and financial concepts and explaining them in clear, readable English. A graduate of Cornell University with a BA in history and Russian studies, she spent more than 20 years as a journalist in New York, Paris, and London for publications such as Institutional Investor MagazineFinancial News, and Investment Dealers’ Digest.

In 2007 Janet began consulting for corporate and financial clients including Deutsche Asset Management, Ernst & Young, Standard & Poor’s, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Oppenheimer Funds, Time Inc., and Schultze Asset Management. Janet has written and edited articles, case studies, commentaries, and white papers on a wide variety of topics and has organized and moderated numerous roundtable discussions. She co-authored a book, The Art of Vulture Investing, published by Wiley Finance in 2012.
