Announcing the launch of our next pioneering research initiative for cities.
City leaders worldwide are rushing to implement their future-ready vision, moving from pilots to scale. To help cities successfully achieve their goals, our 2023-24 research program will provide them with an operating guide and benchmarking model for becoming sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and digitally transformed.
Our study will explore nine imperatives for cities as they execute their future plans: (1) design infrastructure fit for future purpose; (2) make sustainability sustainable (i.e. self-funded); (3) innovate through expanded ecosystems; (4) ensure citizen buy-in, trust, and equity; (5) harness digital convergence and next-gen technologies; (6) unlock the full power of data; (7) build resilience for the unexpected; (8) develop people- and planet-centric mobility; and (9) find novel investing and financing strategies.
